Beauty Slap was originally born as a collaboration between a DJ and a brass quintet in the basement of Carnegie Mellon's music building.  As the band forms its own trajectory, each member has continued to flourish independently in the classical music universe.

The members of our brass section now regularly share the stage with professional symphonic orchestras.
